So Jim is having a terrible time
trying to give up smoking, his subconscious is obediently
giving him the craving to smoke, every time he makes that
statement. As a little exercise for the next week study carefully
what you and the people you come into cotanct with say to
the subconscious. Analyze what pictures, feelings and emotions,
their statements make to the subconscious. I think you will
be very surprised and enlightened.
It
is very important to say clearly to yourself and others what
you want and believe in, because every word spoken to yourself
and others is an instruction to your subconscious. It will
carry out your instruction to the letter. Say I have an important
phone call at nine o'clock tonight and I say to myself, "Remember
to make that call tonight." So ten o'clock comes along
and I then remember, "Damn!". I should realize the
importance of being precise, and say "I will remember
to call at nine o'clock."
How
many times have you done this? Understand the dynamics of
the mind and life can be a whole lot easier. The subconscious
mind is like that four to five year old child and obediently
and innocently carries out your instructions.
Realize
that the interpreter aspect of your mind can do a much better
job in the translation if you say clearly what you want,
and understand the limitations of speech and the spoken word.
