The
biggest mistake people make because they haven't knowledge
of their mind's dynamics, is to get trapped in their fear.
Whenever you sense a threat or fear, your mind will automatically
focus on the fear or threat, until you feel safe. Imagine
that you are driving down the road and all of a sudden the
driver of a car coming towards you loses control, you're going
to focus all mental faculties on avoiding a crash.
Are you going to think about what
you need to buy for tea or how you're going to pay your bills?
All your resources are focused on the threat. This is a very
good natural mental dynamic behavior in this circumstance.
But what people in modern society have fear about are of a
emotional, financial, social or environmental nature. These
situations are not necessarily life threatening, but because
they give the subconscious mind the signal that this is a
serious threat, their minds get trapped focusing on what they
don't want.
So they become trapped in an endless
cycle of worry, fear and anxiety, concentrating all their
energy and resources on what they don't want. This wears people
down, they have less resources available and it affects their
health and happiness, 90% of what people worry about are imaginary
"what if ?" Because the subconscious responds to
all thought, imaginary threats are just as real.
