Not
a source of constant suffering. Realize we all have the power
to control our memories, they are not meant to be a source
of constant suffering but a resource of information to avoid
past dangers, mistakes and as a database of information to
help us problem solve.
If you constantly relive past
traumas, you are wasting enormous amounts of your personal
energy and resources. You are focusing and concentrating on
what cannot be changed, the past! Focus your resources and
energy on to what you want now, let the past go, forgive and
let go. If you do this you become a more powerful and happy
person, simply because you're not constantly wasting your
energy and resource reliving the event.
By doing this you are freeing
up these wasted resources, and allowing your body to recover
from the damaging effects of living in trauma. The past no
longer exists only your personal memory of it, weighted with
your recorded emotional and sensory bias, does, and then only
when you decide to press the replay button!
Monitor yourself and when you
notice yourself reliving an event that is traumatic or unpleasant,
take control and say "I now let this memory go, I will
now focus my personal power on to what I want now!".
Then think of the positive things that you are aiming for
in life, and picture them as if they are happening for you
right now! By doing this you are instructing the subconscious
to focus your resources onto what you can change...THE PRESENT!
